Fall in love with your office chair - Four key tips for choosing the right one
Many office workers spend all day sitting in a chair in front of a computer, which can easily lead to fatigue and affect work efficiency. As the saying goes, "to do a good job, one must first sharpen one's tools." Whether at home or at work, a suitable office chair provides the most comfortable and healthy sitting posture for the user. Such a "thoughtful and considerate" office chair is the best choice. So, how should one choose an office chair?

1. Chair Softness
First, we need to check the softness and comfort of the seat cushion and backrest, mainly by examining the density and resilience of the chair's filling. If the filling is sponge, it should be soft enough so that you don't feel the bottom board when you sit deeply, and it should have a clear rebound feeling when pressed down firmly, with a flat surface without unevenness.
If the office chair does not have padded seats and backrests, then directly check the material and hardness of the material itself, and check whether the seat board conforms to the curve of the human buttocks and thighs. A seat that is too flat or too hard can cause damage to the spine, while a seat that is too soft or has too much sponge padding can affect blood circulation in the legs. In fact, the seat cushion is a very important part. Sitting for a long time can lead to a stuffy and uncomfortable feeling in the buttocks. The reason is simple: the buttocks bear the weight and pressure of the upper body, and the blood vessels and nerves in the buttocks area are very rich. An overly soft cushion will conform too closely to the buttocks, increasing the pressure on blood vessels and nerves.

2. Armrest Height
The armrests should be coordinated with the backrest and seat. Try placing your arms on the armrests and check if they fit the curve of your arms naturally and comfortably. Apply slight pressure and shake them left and right to test their stability and see if they can provide strong support for your arms. If the armrests are adjustable, adjust them in their possible directions to check their flexibility. Also, check the appearance of the material for scratches or damage, and ensure there is no looseness at the connection between the armrest and the seat.

3. Gas Lift
An office chair with a good quality gas lift will not make abnormal noises when sitting on it, or when shaking it left and right or adjusting its height. When purchasing, use your hand to test if the adjustment lever is sensitive. Raise the chair to its highest point, then lower it gradually. If the chair drops all the way down at once, without rebounding, and feels stiff, it indicates that the gas lift is of poor quality. In addition, you should also check if the seat height is appropriate when the adjustment lever is lowered to its lowest point. It is recommended to choose an electroplated gas lift, which is less likely to leak during use, has a long service life, appears more premium, and allows for arbitrary rotation and height adjustment.

4. Chair Base
Generally, it is advisable to choose an office chair with a five-star base to ensure stability. The chair base can be either wheeled or fixed. Regardless of whether it's wheeled or fixed, the material is also very important, otherwise, it can easily wear out and its safety cannot be guaranteed. If choosing a wheeled base, consider whether the wheels will damage the floor, and the wheels should not be excessively flexible, otherwise, the weight distribution will be poor, and sitting will become tiring.

The importance of an office chair, broadly speaking, concerns employee health; narrowly speaking, it's just a tool. However, for employee comfort, choosing a good chair to protect employees' cervical and spinal health is still very important. Comfort in sitting is the most basic and ultimate requirement for an office chair.
